The human body never ceases to cause wonder and amazement. It is a very complex and resilient organism that has a number of very significant and important systems within it. Each of these body systems has a specific function and consists of a number of structures or organs that together help perform that function. These functions are vital to the health and well-being of the body and are often interdependent on each other.

Regulates and controls specific body functions using hormones.

Excretory System

Gets rid of waste and harmful substances from the body.

Immune System

Helps the body to stay healthy by fighting germs.

Muscular System

Causes voluntary and involuntary movement in the body.

Nervous System

Controls and coordinates almost everything the body does.

Reproductive System

Produces male and female sex cells for reproduction.

Respiratory System

Ensures oxygen is made available to the body and waste carried away.

Skeletal System

Provides shape, support and protection to the body.
