The plant kingdom is just one of the groups or kingdoms of living things and in general can be thought of as consisting of a number of smaller divisions or phylum. Plants carry out the life processes associated with living things and make their own food through the process of photosynthesis. The structure of flowering plants is generally a shared characteristic althoughthere are variations within and between species.
Science & Plants for Schools has a range of resources and support for teaching about plants.
