The Universe is described as being everything you can possibly imagine including space. It is simply all existing things, from the smallest possible object, living or non-living, to the largest mass in the space. Scientists think that the Universe was born in a huge explosion, called the Big Bang, about 13,000-15,000 million years ago. In that explosion, all matter, energy, space and time were created and the process of the expansion of the Universe, which continues today, began. Minutes after the Big Bang, the helium and hydrogen were formed which over millions of years came together, due to gravity, to produce galaxies of stars.
