Birds are a group of vertebrates which over many millions of years have evolved from dinosaurs to be the creatures we see today. There are approximately 10,500 different species of birds in the world, each suited to its specfic habitats which can be found in just about every part of the planet. Some species can only be found in specific loactions whereas others are much more widespread.
