Electricity is a form of energy and is a general term used for all phenomena caused by an electric charge. Particles in atoms carry an electric charge, electrons are negatively charged and the nucleus in posiitvely charged. An electrical current is the movement of the electrons in a conductive material.

Electricity can be easily and conveniently moved from one place to another and can be converted into other forms of energy such as heat, light and sound.
